Abstract

The recipient of the Poultry Science Association, Inc. Research Award was Billy M. Hargis, Department of Veterinary Pathobiology at Texas A&M University. The award is presented to a member of the Poultry Science Association, who, during the year preceding the award, published as sole or senior author a peer-reviewed journal series article that was judged by a panel of peers to be outstanding research. The recipient must not have reached the age of 40 before the end of the year in which the research was published. The award consists of a plaque and a cash award of $500.
