Abstract

Jeffrey L. Payne, AGU's 1990–1991 Congressional Science Fellow, is actively working in the office of Representative Jolene Unsoeld of Washington State. The science and engineering fellows program, in which AGU participates, is administered by the American Association for the Advancement of Science. The program provides an opportunity for accomplished scientists and engineers with public policy interests to participate in and contribute to the Congressional policy‐making process.
