Abstract

Human adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stromal cells (AdMSC) have great potential as therapies for a variety of diseases. To ensure accurate dosing, we need a fast and reproducible solution for assessment of AdMSCs prior to release as clinical therapy products. The traditional method of manual counting (hemocytometer and trypan blue) can be time consuming and has potentially high user variability. A number of automated counting systems provide the potential for decreased turnaround time and improved accuracy and consistency.
