Abstract

The new Recommendations of the International Commission on Radiological Protection adopted in 1962 are reviewed. The basic principles are the same as those of the 1958 recommendations, but a number of amendments and clarifications are made in the new publication. Adoption of the new recommendations to regulations of radiation protection in Japan are discussed.
