Abstract

Maternal obesity and excessive gestational weight gain have each been associated with fetal overgrowth and poor obstetric outcome. The purpose of this study is to determine if fetal growth is dependent upon preconception maternal obesity and/or a rapid increase in adiposity over gestation using a leptin-deficient murine model.
