Abstract
We have carried out 195Pt NMR measurement in heavy fermion pseudo-binaries U(Pt 1− x Pd x ) 3 (0< x<0.10) in order to investigate the evolution of magnetic order. At low Pd contents ( x=0 and 0.01), no internal field was observed at Pt site even if small-moment magnetic order was observed by neutron diffraction. At high Pd contents (0.02< x<0.08), however, a large internal field of about 30 kOe was observed associated with the occurrence of large-moment magnetic order. The zero-field NMR spectrum was very broad, which indicated existence of a broad distribution in the size of the ordered moments. With increasing Pd concentration, the average size of U moments increased gradually while its distribution narrowed.
