Abstract

Allogenic transplant models are essential to investigate inflammation, acute rejection and diffuse alveolar damage. We established a murine model of single lung transplantation to investigate the protective effects of OSC attenuating rejection and acute lung injury. Omentum is a readily available source of a large number of pluripotent cells. We hypothesized that OSC prevent early lung failure in this murine lung transplant model without immunosuppression.
