Abstract

In the process of Contemporary Chinese Literature, the series of books editted and published around 1949 like the ”Collection of Chinese People's Literature and Art”, not only completed the classicalization of the 1940's Yan'an Literature and Art and its text resources by following some set ideological aims and narrative practice, but also ”set the direction of New China's literature and art” and constructed its aesthetical criterion and order of style by combining with political power. The following paper, by observing and studying the edition of the ”Collection of Chinese People's Literature and Art”, tries to probe into the relationship between the artistic norms & aesthetical taste of ”Contemporary Chinese Literature” and the imagination & writing styles of ”the New and people's Literature and Art”. Meanwhile, this paper focuses on some ”literary history” topics such as the establishment of new themes, new characters, new forms of language and the contemporary transformation and establishment of writing styles of epic, which participated in and helped construct the national aesthetical principles and subject consciousness and its influence on contemporary chinese literary creation from the 1950's to 1990's, including its ”model-like” influence on the creation of epic in different literary periods.
