Abstract

The eastern Black Sea is a region where erosions often occur due to the structure of the soil. The first erosion occurred in Of-Surmene in the year 1929 during the early Republican period. Nobody became aware of the disaster in time, which signposts the reason why it was too late for the first aid. Soon after the extent of the erosion was determined, the victims were transported to the other safe places. First started with the aim of protecting the local people from the erosion, these activities continued due to the reasons that the region was dense and bumpy, the fields of agriculture were small-scale, crop production was little and there were security problems. Transported first to Macka and Bayburt, local people moved to the Eastern Anatolia and the Middle Black Sea in due course
