Abstract

The Mortality in Emergency Department Sepsis (MEDS) score has demonstrated high accuracy for predicting mortality in emergency department (ED) populations with sepsis. We examined the prognostic utility of this instrument in a cohort of prospectively studied ED patients with severe sepsis and septic shock.
