Abstract
This paper examines how Joseon, a land of prey, was introduced only two years after the annexation of Korea and Japan, at the Development Fair held at Ueno Park in Tokyo from October 1 to November 29, 1912. To this end, we tried to confirm this through reports on the background and composition of the Development Fair, the official report of the Development Fair, the commemorative photo album of the Development Fair, and related newspaper articles. Even though it is Japan’s first colonial production exhibition, it has not even been opened in Japan as well as in Korea, so this paper will provide a clue to understanding the reality of the chuck fair and the shipbuilding hall.
