Abstract

Corona19 infectious disease patients were found in China in late December, and in less than half a year, Corona19 infectious diseases spread around the world, infecting many people and causing many deaths. In February, Daegu Mayor designated Daegu Dongsan Hospital as the Corona 19 Management Hospital to prevent the spread of Corona 19 infectious diseases according to the infectious disease prevention method. By the end of May, Daegu Dongsan Hospital was operated as a hospital that treats only corona19 patients without treating ordinary patients. However, because the infectious disease prevention method does not clearly define specific treatments for medical personnel who have treated and prevented the spread of infectious disease patients, various labor law issues have been raised at the infectious disease management hospital.<BR> Workers working in hospitals raised legal issues under various labor laws. For example, those are problems with the termination of work contracts for fixed-term workers in hospitals, stoppage, suspension of work, unpaid wages, same labor equal wage, Special Working Hours, Minimum rest time etc.<BR> Until now, in the medical field, which has been struggling to improve the health of patients and save lives, the protection of the labor law and the operation of the system for workers, such as medical workers, who provide medical care, have not been the primary consideration. It is also true that the Labor Relations Act did not seriously worry about the situation that does not fit the specificity of the health industry.<BR> Through this opportunity, it is necessary to consider the issues in the labor law, and to revise relevant laws and regulations to reflect the reality of the health industry and to prepare for infectious diseases. In addition, I think it is necessary to provide a basis for adequate protection and proper treatment and compensation for workers in medical institutions. Through the legislative measures of various labor relations laws that reflect reality, we hope that many workers in the health industry will be able to focus on patient care and provide practical economic help.
