Abstract

The Association for Cancer Immunotherapy (CIMT) held its 18th annual meeting virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Europe's largest specialty meeting on cancer immunology and immunotherapy research and development digitally connected over 800 researchers and clinical professionals. Along with plenary sessions, around 220 abstracts were presented online in eTalks format. The multidisciplinary program covered several topics on the cancer immunotherapy research area, with emphasis on cellular therapies (mainly CAR T and natural killer cells), the role of neoantigens and therapeutic vaccination, combination therapies, gut microbiota and its relationship with cancer immunotherapies, immunoguiding, and the role of tumor microenvironment, as well as some sessions on computational immunology and regulatory research. Furthermore, a crosstalk session was dedicated to COVID-19 and immuno-oncology. This report focuses on a selection of presentations covering treatment updates given during the conference. © 2021 Clarivate Analytics.
