Abstract

Introduction and aims: Pregnancy-associated hypertension (PAH) consist a hypertensive condition occurring after the 20th week of gestation. PAH’s global prevalence ranges from 8 to 10% worldwide and is a risk factor for maternal, fetal and neonatal complications. Aim of this study was to investigate any potential association between dietary habits of Greek pregnant women and PAH. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on a random sample of 193 pregnant women (mean age: 31.5±4.4 years old), who were followed-up in a private maternity hospital in Athens, Greece.
