Abstract
The following report outlines highlights from the 17th Annual Conference on European Tort Law, hosted by the European Centre of Tort and Insurance Law (ECTIL) and the Institute for European Tort Law of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and University of Graz (ETL) in Vienna, Austria, in April 2018. It recounts in brief the conference’s opening lecture on personality rights, key themes from the national reports on tort law development in 2017, and the conference’s special session on liability for railways, buses, and aeroplanes.
