Abstract

17O transferred hyperfine interactions, measured by use of the ENDOR technique are reported for Ni2+ impurities in single crystals of magnesium oxide. The interpretation of these measurements in terms of covalent spin transfer is discussed, and the results are compared with those for other nickel complexes.
