Abstract
To evaluate the histologic findings of Porcine Intestinal Allograft in Posterior Compartment/Rectocele Augmentation. Descriptive observational study. Urban hospital, private gyn practice; rural hospital, referral gynecologic practice. Patients with posterior compartment prolapse. Porcine Intestinal Allograft Augmentation to correct posterior compartment prolapse. We present histologic findings on midline transmural biopsies of porcine intestinal allograft. The focus is to evaluate the intermediate term histologic presentation in these premenopausal patients. There exist no reports to date describing the histology after allograft implantation in humans. Histologic findings will be presented.
