Abstract

In Thailand, there was an increasing number of transgender and gender nonconforming youth. They desire to change their secondary sex characteristics by taking cross-sex hormones without any concerns and lack of medical supervision. The limitation of medical health services for these population remain the major problems however the accessibility of non-prescribed hormone from non-medical sources are available and convenient. The aim of the study was to evaluate the prevalence of non-prescribed cross-sex hormone use and risky behaviors among transgender youth.
