Abstract

In the field of display technology, the panels are mainly composed of pixels of three primary colors of red, green and blue, which have basically the same spectra in the same production batch due to the consistency of the production process. Thus, using commercially available color cameras to measure color coordinates of the panels is possible. However, actually the spectra of different panels of the same production batch or even different areas of the same panel are slightly different, which will lead to a certain error in principle. In this paper, we analyzed the effects of spectral shift of OLED panels on the accuracy of color coordinate measurement using simulated color camera response curve. We simulated multiple situations of different spectral shifts and then quantitatively analyzed the influence of spectral shift on the color coordinates based on the simulated color camera response curve and CIE1931 tristimulus values respectively.
