Abstract

Given that sexual and gender minority (SGM) youth face disproportionate risk for negative sexual and reproductive health (SRH) outcomes, it is critical these populations receive health education that is both inclusive of and specific to their needs. We sought to characterize the strengths and weaknesses of SGM-related health promotion messages by systematically analyzing websites that address SRH for young people. Specifically, we considered: (1) who is included? (2) what topics are discussed? and (3) how are the messages framed?
