Abstract

Cardiac transplantation is one treatment option for patients with end stage cardiac amyloidosis. Selection criteria are not accurately defined and published outcomes do not resemble those of the general transplant population. Recurrence of amyloid deposition in the heart after transplant has been reported. We report our experience with heart transplants in AL amyloidosis patients with subsequent bone marrow transplant (BMT) and 1year outcomes.
