Abstract
Perceived oral contraceptive (OC) side effects are common, leading to discontinuation and unwanted pregnancy. Depression, psychological stress and eating disordered (ED) symptoms contribute to reported side effects with general medications, yet how they affects OC-attributed symptoms is unknown. We examined relationships between these psychological conditions and mood and weight changes in minority, adolescent OC-users.
