Abstract
Mini-LED-backlit LCD display has extremely high dynamic range and contrast ratio, but also brings halo effect. The halo phenomenon will make the original high-definition, high-contrast picture seems to be covered with a veil, which reduces the visibility and quality of the picture, and cannot reflect the superiority of HDR display. Based on the measurement and evaluation requirements of Mini-LED-backlit LCD displays, this paper proposes a test and evaluation scheme for halo phenomenon, and analyzes the key factors affecting the measurement, including the V(λ) mismatch, measurement lower limit and dynamic range, imaging quality of imaging luminance meter and halo evaluation algorithm based on Mura analysis, etc. .
