Abstract

Well-being is one of the main consumers preoccupations with well-aging. Oxytocin, known as the “feel-good molecule”, participates to global well-being, and frequently related to positive social interactions. Gentle touch, perceptible by the presence of mechanosensory nerve fibers in the skin, triggers the release of oxytocin in the body, like in saliva or in keratinocytes having a beneficial effect on skin. A botanical extract has been developed to target mechanosensory receptors in the skin to increase skin oxytocin level and to improve skin integrity.
