Russian Abstract: В работе рассматриваются непростые взаимоотношения князей Шуйских с населением Суздальского уезда в начале XVII века. На основе анализа эволюции структур землевладения и городовой служилой корпорации автором делается вывод о взаимном отчуждении Шуйских и основной массы местных феодалов, что, в конечном счете, предопределило измену последних своему коронованному земляку Василию Шуйскому.English Abstract: This paper focuses on the problem of relationship between the Princes Shuyskys and the residents of Suzdal uyezd in the beginning of the 17th Century. The author believes that after Vasili Shuisky had become tsar and began strengthening dominance of his clan at the territory of Suzdal region, it was no longer appropriate for the local society and finally caused political instability there.
