Abstract

To settle labor disputes at the source, to allow mediation to fully play its role, the Beijing Municipal General Trade Union, the Beijing Municipal Human Resources and Social Security Bureau, and the Beijing Judicial Bureau integrated their resources to jointly establish a joint-action mechanism for labor dispute mediation, namely set up labor dispute mediation centers in various districts and counties of Beijing. In terms of the legal remedy procedure for labor disputes, the procedure of labor dispute cases includes labor arbitration, first-instance and second-instance court. Trade unions take the lead in the mediation mechanism established by the labor dispute mediation center. Employers and workers' application for mediation of labor dispute cases should be handled according to the law. The establishment of the labor dispute mediation center plays a vital role in settling labor disputes and pacifying labor conflicts.
