Abstract

AbstractA new polarization‐independent and fast‐response adaptive microlens using a polymer‐stabilized blue phase liquid crystal is proposed. The top electrode is coated with a transparent and conductive PEDOT:PSS film to generate linearly varying electric potential from center to edge, while the bottom ITO electrode has a constant potential. Such an adaptive lens is useful for switchable 2D/3D displays.
