Abstract

Background: The BOOG 2013-08 study examined non-inferiority of omission of the sentinel lymph node biopsy (SLNB) in clinically node negative cT1-2 breast cancer patients treated with breast conserving therapy (NCT02271828).1 This study explores whether omission of the SLNB results in a significant decrease in axillary morbidity rate and improved health-related QoL (HRQoL) at 6- 12- and 24 months post-surgery.
