Abstract
Adjuvant maneuvers are often necessary to correct residual curvature during inflatable penile prosthesis (IPP) placement in Peyronie’s Disease (PD) patients. We present our multi-center experience using collagen fleece as graft material for plaque incision and grafting (PIG) during IPP placement in patients with moderate to severe PD. We retrospectively reviewed 50 IPP patients from 3 sites who underwent PIG with Tachosil® (Baxter, IL, USA) collagen fleece. Coloplast (Humlebaek, Denmark) IPP devices were used. Surgical technique has been previously described (Figure). Briefly, a subcoronal incision is made, and the neurovascular bundles are raised in standard fashion. A linear incision is created at the point of maximum curvature with device inflated at 70%. The device is maximally inflating demonstrating the defect. The collagen fleece is bathed in saline and then moulded overtop the defect with at least 5 mm of margin coverage. Buck’s fascia is re-approximated to support the underlying graft. Factors associated with residual curvature, revision and patient satisfaction was performed using chi-squared analysis.
