Abstract

This chapter describes the two broad methods of citing sources. It covers how to cite your sources (called references) in the text, and how to present the section called References or List of References , together with the differences between a Bibliography and a List of References . The types of sources covered include works on paper (books, journals, etc.), electronic sources (e.g. Internet material, electronic databases) and other types of sources. No prior knowledge at all of this area is assumed; however, the material is covered comprehensively and is presented in a straightforward way.
