Abstract
Physician assistants (PAs) are widely used in emergency departments (EDs) across the country. To our knowledge, there is no published literature that focuses on emergency medicine PA malpractice trends. The objective of this study is to review ED medical malpractice claims involving PAs. Data was utilized from The Doctors Company (TDC), the largest physician-owned malpractice insurer in the nation.
