Abstract

Neuroimaging research to date has indicated that non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI) is associated with aberrant brain connectivity. Structural and functional connectivity metrics do not always converge; the convergence between measures of functional and structural abnormalities are still unknown in adolescent NSSI. This study investigated the association, or coherence, of functional and structural connectivity within amygdala-centered neural circuits and how this coherence differs between adolescents with versus without NSSI.
