Abstract

Due to the closure of borders, the greatest blow fell on international air travel, but local, intercity flights also suffered due to measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19 infection. In order to find the most effective way to regulate prices for the restoration of the air travel market in the Russian Federation, airlines can use the applications of game theory, thanks to which players will be able to think through a balanced strategy of a cooperative game. The subject of the study of game theory is the mathematical analysis of situations in which the interests of several players may not coincide. At the same time, a formalized description of the described situations is presented in the form of a mathematical model called a game. When describing the game, some parameters are set, awareness of which is a key factor in the success of the agent's game. These parameters include: the number of players – the set of agents involved; the preferences of players; the area of permissible actions in the game; the awareness of players; the order (sequence) of moves, etc. The basic concepts applicable in the analysis and optimization of the air travel market are considered. Within the framework of game theory, the air travel market of the Russian segment of the world market is analyzed and an assessment of the classical situation on the market, the moves of agents and their effectiveness is given. A mathematical model of the choice of strategy by players in the classical situation on the air travel market of the Russian Federation is presented.
