Abstract

The behavior of water droplet in an air-water separator in this study is based on the principle of the electrostatic precipitator with the positive and negative poles. This mechanism of separation is that the water droplets charged negative ions by corona discharge are collected on the positive pole by Coulomb force operating between the both poles. This paper describes the theoretical analysis that how the movement of water droplet is affected by Coulomb force in that cylinder type separator.
