Abstract

The analysis of coupled vibration of the arm, the tennis racket and the ball is important to understand the performance of the racket and to prevent of sports diseases when people play tennis. The arm is modeled as musculo-skeletal model includiing activity level, and the ball and the racket are modeled by masses, rigid links, respectively, which are connected by springs and dampers. By coupling the dynamics of the ball, the racket, and the arm, the coupled equation of motion is derived. The feedback error learning system is introduced to obtain the activity level of muscle. And we calculate the holding moment between hand and racket from feedback error learning system. Finally this proposed analysis method is compared with the former analysis and experimental results.
