Abstract
Free radical reactions have become an important way for formation of carbon-carbon bonds in organic synthesis in the last two decades. Manganese (III) and silver (II) have been used most efficiently in oxidative free radical reaction. In this thesis, the β-dicarbonyl compound oxidated by silver (II), and the free radical undergone intermolecularly reaction with quinone. In the other, imine radical can be generated by oxidation of 2-amono-1,4-benzo- quinone with Ag (II) and Mn (III). The dimeric product were formed via intermolecular radical coupling reaction. (1) Reaction of quinone and β-dicarbonyl compound (2) Dimerization of 2-amino-1,4-benzoquinone
