Abstract
Background: The clinical manifestations of tethered cord syndrome can be neurologic, urologic and/or orthopedic, yet little is published regarding the incidence and type of orthopedic conditions that precipitate need for tethered cord release (TCR). The purpose of this paper was to categorize the clinical orthopedic findings that were associated with tethered cord syndrome and identify which of these orthopedic manifestations required further surgical intervention despite tethered cord release.
