Abstract

Pulsed NMR study of13C has been carried out in the quaternary borocarbide superconductor YNi2B2C. The13C nuclear spin-lattice relaxation rate, 1/T 1, in an unoriented powder sample has been measured between 20 and 300K in the normal states. TheT 1 T=constant behavior is found between 20 and 100K which suggests the existence of density of states at Fermi level at carbon site. Furthermore, an anormalous decrease in 1/T 1 T with increasing temperature similar to11B NMR is found above 100K.
