Abstract

A 38-year-old man presented to the emergency room with a pink, friable, rapidly growing exophytic mass measuring 5.0 cm × 1.5 cm on his posterior scalp. On physical exam, he had numerous yellow, waxy papules some with central umbilications scattered over his face, neck, and shoulders. Medical history was significant for seizures, opioid dependence and tobacco use. His father had similar skin lesions but, unfortunately they became estranged over the years and passed away from an unknown type of malignancy.
