Abstract
To clarify from which strength level a duplex S-N property appeared, we prepared a lot of SCM435 steel specimens. Specimens had 5 different strength level by changing tempering temperature, and were examined over gigacycle on rotating bending. In this experiment, by the difference of strength level of the same material, because it was possible to divide into the one showing a duplex S-N property and the one not showing it, it was confirmed that a duplex S-N property depended on not a phenomenon peculiar to the material but the strength level. Moreover, the destruction form on the ultra long life region of the confirmed duplex S-N property in this experiment was mainly the surface origin type destruction.
