Abstract
The purpose of this study is to make clear the flow behavior on the reattachment process in a backward facing step flow by injection of vortex generator jets. A row of injection holes which covers full span is located upstream of the step. The effects of the injection hole pitch and the jet velocity ratio on the reattachment process were already investigated. In the steady injection and the abrupt injection of jets, streamwise velocity was measured by a hot-wire anemometer. It is found that the vorticity thickness and the integral scale in the shear layer are increased by injection of vortex generator jets.
