Abstract

This research aims to realize a flexible displacement sensor that, can be attached in a soft actuator. The fabricated flexible sensor has been composed of piezoelectric polymer, conductive paste and rubber base. Piezoelectric polymer: poly(vinylidene fluoride-trifluoroethylene) [P(VDF/TrFE)] was used for the detection of displacement of flexible sensors and conductive paste was used for electrodes. A soft bellows actuator that can deform largely was fabricated. The fabricated flexible sensor was attached in the soft actuator. The soft actuator deformed at flexion angle 37[deg] in air pressure 0.05[MPa]. In the result, the soft actuator has realized large deformation. The flexible sensor can detect the deformation of the actuator.
