Abstract

High-intensity interval exercise (HIIE) has been associated with a lower risk of hypoglycemia in participants with type 1 diabetes (T1D); however, blood glucose changes during and after exercise across studies have been inconsistent. We tested the hypothesis that morning exercise would lead to higher CGM glucose levels and more postexercise glucose variability (mean absolutely glucose change – MAG) than afternoon exercise.
