Abstract

Continuous-tone printers for minilabs, hospitals, and motion picture films using LCOS devices have been developed. Because photosensitive media enhances subtle device imperfections such as LCD rubbing marks, it is necessary to perform pixel level corrections. This paper concentrates on an LCOS-based minilab printer that was developed, and the correction schemes, which were used to obtain defect-free prints.
