Abstract

The paper describes experiments using the parallel type probe described in Part (I) of this study. With the view to using this type of prode under a pressure of about 50kg/cmcm2 and a temperature of 260°C, improvements have been brought to the probe, which have resulted in successful measurements of local void fraction. The need has been increasing felt of late for the accurate determination of transient local void fraction, and the presenf study has been undertaken to answer the call for an examination of the accuracy obtainable with the parallel type probe.
