Abstract

Oral rehabilitation with dental implants following treatment for pathologies of the head and neck (head and neck neoplasms, odontogenic and non-odontogenic tumours of the jaw) is known to restore function and improve quality of life [1]. However, much controversy still exists over the long-term survival of dental implants in patients treated with resective surgery with or without free flap reconstruction, radiotherapy alone and/or chemotherapy.
