Abstract

Background Objectives: Injuries in childhood aredue to household and auto, hazards. The aim ofthe work was assessment of opinion pile of parentsabout safety norms. Methods: We used questionnaire developed andmaintained by the American Academy of PediatricsCommittee on Injury, Violence and PoisonPrevention for different age groups (0-1 years, 1-4years, and 5-9 years). RESULTS: Research conducted 51 Parents of thechildren (below 1 year).12% of the parents hadnever put the crib side up, that protects their babiesfrom falling down..14% of Mothers left their babyalone on tables or beds. Most of mothers (about92%) were already informed about the hazards forthe child, playing with too small objects. Parents (1-9 years old children)-27% and 37, 5%of parents (1-4 years old children and) answeredthat the domestic injuries of their children neededconsultation of a doctor. Most (59%) of the membersof the families smoke with children. Conclusion: Lack of information about heatingsystem in the families, also auto safety ignoring andsmoking high risks.
