Abstract

Periorbital and orbital infections are one of the frequent reasons for emergency department (ED) visits. Emergency Physician-performed point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) has become more prevalent in the evaluation of patients presenting to the emergency department (ED). The objective of this study is to determine the utility of POC ocular ultrasound in the assessment of patients presenting to the ED with suspected preseptal and septal (orbital) cellulitis.
