Abstract
The prevalence type 2 diabetes (DM2) in Eeyou Istchee Cree communities are rapidly rising. Women with a history of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM) and their families are at high risk for DM2. The local health board has programs for diabetes management, but identified gaps in diabetes prevention.
