Abstract

Aerodynamic sound source and its structure have been visualized by using multiresolution analysis (discrete wavelet transform). FFT based conventional analysis is required a huge amount of numerical data to obtain the space and time information, however, this visualization technique can be decomposed conventional formatted pictures into the time and space domain. The resolution of this visualization technique is almost the same as the FFT based analysis at low frequency. Multiresolution analysis can be help to understand fluid dynamic motion and aerodynamic sound generation.
